From the mind of Brittany |
I'm mature when it counts. |
I’ve been driving a lot lately.
To and from Oklahoma City for the AAF District 10 Student Ad Competition to be exact. That’s not the point of this thought though…
The point is, I realize when I am about half way through a song that it is my least favorite and can’t believe I was listening to it for so long. To all of you Pink lover’s out there… I’m talking about her. I can’t stand her music.
However, it made me think about two things.
1. I really should pay more attention to things while I’m driving… it’s not really the appropriate time to space out
2. Surely I’m not the only one that does this. What about radio advertising? How many of us are so zoned out on the drive, that we aren’t even comprehending whats being said on the radio. I know radio advertising is really up in the air right now, what with the plethora of iPods and Pandora listeners out there. But, it is still being purchased, and in some smaller markets, it is sworn by.
I mean, clearly, all advertisers aren’t just going to get up Monday morning and think “ya know what? I’m DONE with radio.” But should we?
Oh, and in case you were wondering, Texas Tech’s Infinity Advertising placed 2nd runner up this week. Wreck ‘Em!
